Terms of use

By using Insura you agree to these terms.

Last updated September 30, 2026. This is a starter document written for launch. It should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before it is relied on for compliance.

1. What Insura provides

Insura provides educational information and estimates about car insurance costs in the United States. Insura is not an insurer, agent or broker, does not sell insurance and does not provide quotes.

2. Estimates are not quotes or advice

Estimates are produced by a simplified model described on the methodology page. They are not offers of insurance, guarantees of price, or financial, legal or insurance advice. Actual premiums vary by insurer, location, coverage and underwriting factors. See the disclaimer.

3. Using the site

You may use Insura for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to misuse the site, including by attempting to disrupt it, access it by automated means at a volume that burdens it, or misrepresent its estimates as insurance quotes.

4. Intellectual property

The Insura name, design, text and software are owned by Insura or its licensors. You may share links to the site and quote brief excerpts with attribution.

5. Third-party links and advertising

The site may show advertising and link to third-party websites. Insura does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, products or services.

6. No warranties

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Insura is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any decision made in reliance on information or estimates from the site.

8. Changes

These terms may be updated. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
